On Cloud Nine Thoughts

Comics are running slow...not sure why. I guess 'cause I'm getting a lot of homework this week. We JUST recovered from finals last week, why are you doing this to us?!?!

ARGH. Now that there's a new romantic-like contest, I get in the Sheilla mood again (long story, don't ask). Ugh. It's all about the stupid Sadie Hawkins dance. That's why I made Mia's journal entry about that the last one. If you want to understand this, READ MIA'S JOURNAL ENTRY FROM LAST WEEK, cause that's literally ripped off my life. Well...most of it.
Whatever.




Contest News!

Okies! Here is the new contest!

Remember the last contest in October I said that the people who did that contest can't do this contest or something? Screw that. Just forget that. If you did the last contest, you can do this contest.

Anyway, you've seen in some journal entries that I've talked about the "WTF Pairings", which are unusual pairings of my comic characters.

Now this next contest will sort of have to do with that. Since Valentine's Day is coming up, I thought it would be fun if you drew your favorite Alkaline Comic couple!

And as a bonus, it doesn't have to be a REAL couple! I mean, I have a lot of different side couples that are kind of insane...anyone hear of Ricky x Sheilla? Hey don't ask me, that was Jazzy's idea. Well not really I had thought of it before.

But there's a few limits:
NOTHING sexual, seriously, keep this PG like my comics should be. Okay?
Try to keep the couple in the same comic. In other words, use the cast from where the character's from; don't use anything outside that specific comic. Or else it would be a bit confusing. And weirdish.

Okay, if you think you're a bad drawer, DON'T let that sway you into not joining the contest.

The pictures will be counted on:
Effort
Similarities to the actual character (Y'know, if it captures the depth and feeling the character. I will be judging that.)
Physical Features like the character (So this is if you got the character right as in physical features. This isn't much of an important category.)

Yeah, I'm not counting your drawing skills so don't worry about if you think if you're a bad drawer. I count if it just matches the character well.

Other rules:

Bases are permitted. I don't mind if you use bases ^_^ No point deductions or anything.
Re-colors of pictures...that's a different story. Bases and Recolors are different. Bases is just a "base" while you actually create the rest of it, whereas Re-colors..are just coloring over a picture, you're not really CREATING it. So no re-colors please.
Digital art and Free Hand Sketch art will get the same points, so don't think that one will be better than the other. The types won't really make a difference.

Prizes!

1st Place: 3 colored request pictures, by yours truly and maybe something else that's awesome. I'm not sure what though.

2nd Place: 2 colored pictures and something smaller

3rd Place: 2 un-colored pictures by me. :3

In the world of Alkaline-Comics...

Cosmic Critters, re-drawing the first strip, might not put it up until next week.

Comic swap with Bailey I'll try to have time for this weekend.

OOH! I am reviving a super old comic which was one of my favorites when I made it in 5th grade. I'm gonna upload the promo poster tonight!

Coloring (with my "unusual" photoshop coloring style) that picture of the University dudes re-drawn. I'm also making separate profiles of them. Isn't that fantastic? I'm working on Troy's right now.

Still drawing in that Katie notebook I talked about a few journal entries back. I will upload the cover soon when I'm finished decorating it. Then after that I'll upload the History and Spanish "notes" sometime next week.

Okay I still need to upload that picture of Lily and give a whole backstory. But before I upload the picture, I actually have to THINK of the FULL backstory. And also speaking of more Sunday Morning, I actually thought of a STORY after the Patrick and Walrus adventure! Whee! I'm happy.
